Weekend Events: Art of the Wedding, March 5, 2011

We have two big events this weekend in Reading, PA. This post is about the second event, on SATURDAY....

Creating Exciting Balloon Memories, LLC was invited to participate in Art of the Wedding at Goggleworks, one of my personal favorite places. Yippee!!  While we will have our portfolio available for your review, Miss Balloon Heart will also be creating balloon sculptures for purchase, if requested by attendees.

This event is FREE and the grand prize is fabulous. If you plan to attend, be sure to register by Friday to be eligible for amazing raffle prizes - after reading the information I am wishing I wasn't a vendor!

Here is some text from their website:

Brides & Grooms-to-Be: Please Join Us for this Special Event! RSVP Today!

Art of the Wedding is open to the public FREE of charge. Guests who register prior to the event will be eligible for amazing raffle prizes (must be present to win). Giveaway to the first 300 attendees courtesy of Dylan´s Candy Bar.
Please note: Art of the Wedding vendors and GoggleWorks staff are not eligible to enter the raffles.

Pictures from the week....

Things I made/did this week....

This bride and groom "Lootle" Couple and palm trees were made for a lovely couple's wedding reception. The reception was held "back at home" after their island wedding.

--------------***--------------

I had the privilege of teaching students how to twist basic balloon animals.
--------------***--------------
We celebrated my husband's birthday today. I used it as an excuse to test new helium balloons... I learned a few things, which is great!

"Gumball Balloon" using a Qualatex Bubble. I had this one outside and it was windy so I needed to hold it just to snap the picture.
--------------***--------------

This one had two messages on it; "Best Dad in the World" and "Best Husband in the World."
--------------***--------------
Just testing another Qualatex Bubble Balloon. DD and I made the base balloons look like sports balls (basketballs, tennis balls, golf balls, etc.). They worked really well. Not that anyone else noticed the details but, hey, they made me smile. : )

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Diving into Decor...

Hello, all!

One of my projects for this week is putting together a proposal for a prom for a local high school. I created this sample centerpiece. The coolest part, unfortunately, you are unable to see in the picture, as the center is a lighted balloon using Qualatex sparkles. They are wonderful but super tough to photograph. These centerpieces may stand alone or hold a bouquet of helium balloons. What do you think?

Of course, I will be twisting balloons at Friendly's tonight from 5-7:30PM.
Have a great Wednesday, everyone!

A bear with flowers...

I made this as a "thank you" for my chiropractic office who kindly donated a one hour massage for Encore Theater Company's raffle! My sweet daughter posed with it to provide a scale reference.

I enjoyed the birthday parties that I was blessed to work, yesterday, as well as PA Cyber's Grand Opening Event on Tuesday evening. They were kind enough to send me these pictures...

I also booked my first wedding this week and can not wait for that event!

Have a fabulous week everyone and thanks for reading.
