Check out this fun place for your next event.

So, you have an event coming up and need a location for it? It could be an Anniversary, Baby Shower, Bat/Bar Mitzvah, Bridal Occasion, Graduation, Religious Event, Sports Banquet, Group Event, Corporate Event, Banquet, Meeting, Office Party... the list goes on.

Maybe you want something completely different and fun, fun, fun for this event. Check out Buca di Beppo in Reading (Wyomissing), PA.

You start with a call to Michelle Kirn, their Event Sales Manager. Oh, you need her number? It is 610-374-3482. Program it into your phone now and be sure to tell her I sent you when you call her. : )

Michelle is super nice and you'll love her. Book your event in one of their many unique (beyond unique) themed dining rooms - (there is no fee) and plan your event menu. I'm not sure which room was my favorite, I am torn between the Frank Sinatra room and the Puppy Disco booth (not a room but it is crazy cool). Some other rooms are the Pope room, Velvet Room, Poster Room and Wine Room - I may be off a name or two but Michelle, feel free to correct me.  I am wondering if there is more than a few inches of wall space that isn't covered with some object.

Did I mention that their food is wonderful? Yep, it is.

Okay, so now you know about this fun, place. Your job is to not forget about it. If you don't have an upcoming event, chances are you know someone who does and they may be interested in it. Tell them about it, too.

Hmmm....I'm thinking Buca Di Beppo and balloons has a nice ring to it? Yes, after you book your event with Michelle, be sure to call me (610.858.6571) to add some centerpieces or balloon twisting for your guests!

If you are on Facebook, take a second to, "Like" Bucca Di Beppo now.

Facebook Featured Fan Announced: John Raab

Hi. Thanks for stopping by.

Today's featured fan is a dear friend of mine from college, Mr. John Raab. You can't help but love this man when you meet him. John is one of the most humble people you will ever meet. He has an unbelievably gifted natural musical talent (oh my goodness - lovely singing voice, he always played a mean piano and was the organist extraordinaire and music director for St. Agnes Church in West Chester for years and years) but you won't find him talking about that. I was blessed to meet him in college. He accompanied many of the students and choirs, he was a great vocal coach, too - but he always just kind of just did that to help. John became a great friend of mine and quite honestly, when I think of my college years, the majority of my memories have John Raab in them. I think we had a very entertaining German diction class together... but that is another story. All of my memories of John make me smile.

Pictures of John are slim pickings, but I found this teeny tiny one of him that was posted when he taught at Taylor's Music School in West Chester.
Enjoy reading about my dear friend, John!

Dragon for the Reading Pagoda

I hope you had a fantastic weekend.

This was a busy weekend for Creating Exciting Balloon Memories. We had fun twisting balloons and providing decor for a super cool circus birthday party AND we have been prepping centerpieces for events for tomorrow. Along with those projects, we had a large custom arch installation at the Reading Pagoda for a surprise birthday party. The event was coordinated by the lovely and amazing, Heather Pasko of Lovely Events & Occasions. Heather's attention to detail is beyond compare and she brings together the most talented area vendors you are able to imagine. This is a picture of the finished creation that I was privileged to add to this special event. Click the picture to be led to my Facebook Page album with a few additional photos of the location and build in progress.

Don't forget to "like" our FB page while you are there...and definitely click through to the Lovely Events & Occasions page to see even more pictures of incredible event.

This dragon not only hung out at a couple of private parties but was able to spend the weekend in the Pagoda to welcome guests during their public hours as well.

The Pagoda staff did recruit some name ideas for this dragon from a few visitors. These are what was submitted:

   Elmer, by Lauren R.
Pierce (because of his eyes), by Blake R.
   Fireball, by Camille
   Lili, by Lili J.
   Vlad, by Felicia M.
   Ralston, by Charlie R.
   and Mooshu, by Shawna

Thank you for the name suggestions. I think we should combine them all to name this guy:

"Sir Elmer Pierce Fireball Lili Vlad Mooshu Ralston the third."

I don't know, he looked like he needed a Sir and "the third."

Sadly, Sir Elmer Pierce etc, etc, etc... was slain this afternoon at the close of public hours.

On a lighter note, this Tuesday I will be at my normal Tuesday evening location,  Red Robin, Exeter, for Kid's Night. Twisted balloons and free sundaes for children 9 and under. Miss Balloon Heart is in the house from 5:30 - 7:00PM.

Saturday, I will joining the LEO Design Gallery team at Art on the Avenue from 2PM-5PM. You will find me inside of the gallery - Come check it out!!!  Click here for details.

Thanks for reading. May you have an absolutely fantastic week ahead!

Facebook Featured Fan Announced: Dana Wilkinson

YAY! It is Featured Fan Friday and this week our featured fan is Dana Wilkinson.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dana, after an event where I had twisted balloons for her children - she realized that I frequented the Dunkin Donuts that she was working at at the time. Her smiling face would hand me my coffee in the morning. : ) From that point,  I have had the pleasure of getting to know Dana on Facebook and was invited to twist balloons for her son's birthday last year. Thanks, Dana!

Dana is one busy and awesome lady. That passion of hers (yep, you need to read it) - is one that made me smile. Believe it or not, she won two more things this week and her daughter won a bike!!! - I guess she has her mother's luck. Enjoy reading about Dana and have a blessed day. Thank you for stopping by.

Are you a dog or a cat person? Dog person

What is your favorite pizza topping? Mushrooms are my favorite topping.

Did you play sports or a band instrument in high school? I played field hockey in school.

What do you think came first, the chicken or the egg? I think the chicken came before the egg.

What would you like readers to know about you personally? I am a fun loving person who loves to have fun. I'm always making people laugh just by what I do or something I say.

What is your business? What "do you do?" I work for the YMCA doing the before and after care at Monocacy Elementary Center and I also work at Daniel Boone Middle School in the cafeteria.

Who is your greatest supporter in your life and work? I think my mom is my greatest supporter. She has always been there for me no matter what I have done in my life.

Who or what inspires you? My kids inspire me. They mean the world to me. No matter what they say or do I will always love them.

Is there something you are really passionate about? What is it? Well for 20 years I have been winning concert tickets from 3 different radio stations. If its a concert I really want I will try hard to win to them. I think it's the thrill of which concert I will win tickets for next. My daughter loves when I win because she is the one going to them with me. I have tried playing the lottery but I never win. It's something I love to do. I have also won gift cards for Toys R Us at Christmas time too from Mix 106.1. I think that was the best thing I won by far. It was a gift card for $1,700 to spend however I wanted to! Lets just say my kids had the BEST christmas ever that year.

What is your favorite quote? Live Life to the fullest because you don't know what could happen tomorrow.
